Neurologist and epileptologist, Dr. Chris Shafer, directs the University of Louisville Hospital Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. He and neurosurgeon, Dr. Michael Park, who specializes in neurosurgical intervention for epilepsy and other movement disorders, led the UofL Health Care team that established a new course of treatment for Kimberly Sheperson — a course that would forever change her life.
