The two cancer survivors and patient ambassadors for the Julep were on hand for Dawn at the Downs at the Backside of Churchill Downs in the wee hours of Monday morning. The pair were there to represent the JGBCC, tell their stories of courage and spread a message of hope to cancer survivors everywhere. Media tents from local television and radio news stations flanked the backside area and welcomed Jessica and Reggie and also interviewed other notable guests such as Governor Steve Beshear and First Lady Jane Beshear. The Survivor Ambassadors will be on hand to hobknob with celebrities and other special guests at the track this week as well as Cancer Survivors&#8217; Day Parade on Thursday with The Kentucky Cancer Program, and The Pink Out at Oaks Day at Churchill Downs on Friday. Of course, the two will cap off their Derby week festivities with a walk on the red carpet as honored guests at The Julep on Friday night.
